We’ll only ever remove a tooth when all other treatment options have been exhausted.
Today, tooth extraction is incredibly straightforward. However, we do understand why the words ‘’tooth extraction’’ can make you feel apprehensive. Before we perform any treatment, we will make sure we communicate with you openly and empathetically. Helping you feel at ease is the first and most important step.
Examination: We will investigate every option available to us before we decide an extraction is in the interest of your dental health.
Preparation: A local anaesthetic will numb your gum, so you won’t feel anything as we remove the tooth.
Extraction: We will gently remove the tooth from its socket.
How will I feel after my tooth has been removed?
A problematic tooth can cause all sorts of symptoms no one wants to live with, including pain, a bad taste in the mouth, and difficulties eating. Once your tooth has been taken out, you’ll find these become reversed.
Do I need to replace my tooth right away?
We strongly recommend replacing a lost tooth as early as possible. We offer dental implant treatment, which is the best option for replacing lost teeth.
I’m a little nervous – do you offer sedation?
We can offer sedation if you feel anxious about having your tooth extracted. Sedation can help even the most nervous patients relax during a procedure.
