Following the Government advice Sistova Road Dental Studio is temporarily closed, and we are only available for remote support and guidance for our patients. Due to the current pandemic of COVID-19 unfortunately we can no longer offer face to face appointments, however we are still available to help you with an emergency dental issue.

Except our email and phone support, we’ve created some useful tips to help you, if you’re experiencing some dental problems at home.

Lost filling

Lost filling not always cause a pain immediately, sometimes it doesn’t at all, sometimes it does after a while. Because you can’t book an appointment with the dentist right now it is important you try to manage it at home:

  • Avoid sugar in your food and drinks.
  • Floss or use inter-dental brushes, followed by brushing your teeth thoroughly to avoid infection and toothache.
  • Use fluoride toothpaste.
  • Use over-the-counter painkillers (if you can use them and you don’t have any risks to take them), for example: paracetamol.
  • As with a broken tooth, you can buy temporary filling material from your local pharmacy or Boot’s and try to fix it yourself using the instructions on the package. It will reduce the risk of further decay.
  • Even if you can manage a lost filling at home, it’s important that you contact us so we can add you to our list and contact you as soon as we re-open and book you an appointment so we can provide a long-term solution.
